Prior to launching Millrace with Whit Maroney in 2001, Bill was with Greenville Capital Management, a small cap growth firm where he worked in a research analyst / portfolio manager role  focusing on Technology, Business Services, Electronics, and Consumer companies.

Previously, Bill was a research analyst at Alex. Brown & Sons with the Emerging Growth Fund team and was also a research analyst at Massachusetts Financial Services focusing on Business Services, Aerospace, Defense Electronics, and Leisure companies.

He began his investment career at Blythe Eastman Paine Webber as an analyst on the M&A team.

Bill holds a BA in History from University of Virginia and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School of Business.
