Marco is co-founder of AFA and co-portfolio manager of the AFA Private Credit Fund, an interval fund for accredited investors that invests in a diversified portfolio of specialized private credit funds. He was previously a principal of AQR Capital Management, where he led the startup of the AQR Funds, which were among the first “liquid alternatives” mutual funds. Before then, he led mutual fund businesses at William Blair & Company and First Chicago Bank. He began his career as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute and on the boards of several other industry and charitable organizations. Marco received a PhD in economics from MIT and a BA in mathematics from the University of Chicago.
